I am attempting to set up my studio this spring and looking for advice on firing my kiln with a generator
I have an old manual Evenheat kiln…it is a work horse and I love it! I have been told that I could get to come 6 using a 10000 watt generator…any advice/suggestions/ guidance before I make the $1700 commitment (generator)
I would to go with a gas kiln but that is not in my budget at this time 😊

Hi i guess the answer is in what amperage your kiln draws and the volts.
A 10.000 watt generator will put out at 120V. 83 amps
At 220 volts its 43 amps
The formula for this is watts ÷V = amps
