In this class you will learn how to throw and trim a lidded urn. We will cover what size urn to make with “urn math” as well as urn etiquette for the Epitaph. You will also learn how to glaze with two different glazes while using wax resist and how to apply and fire laser decals for personalization and decoration.

3.5 of Clay for body and 1lb of clay for lid, I am using Laguna Bmix 5 clay
Sponge
Medium red mud tool rib and Wooden rib
Wooden clay knife
Dolan Clay Knife
Needle tool
Cutting wire
Calipers
Diamond Core Tools T3 trimming tool
Bucket for Water
Bats
A kiln or access to one
Wax resist, I am using Mr. Marks Wax On wax
Foam brush or ¼” craft brush for applying wax
Glazes used are my own green blue and clear 2167
Brush for applying clear glaze
