Learn to throw this apple baking dish just in time for autumn. In this class I am going to show you how to throw this form. I'm going to show you how to trim this form and I'm also going to show you how to glaze it to get this exact glaze effect. And I include not only the tools and materials for this class, but a recipe to make your own baked apples.

Materials:
Pottery Wheel
2 lbs of clay, I am using Laguna 60 brown speckled clay
Medium red mud tool rib and Wooden rib
White Mud Tools Sponge
Wooden clay knife
Needle tool
Cutting wire
Bucket for Water
Serrated rib
Slip or Magic Water
Diamond Core Tools T3 Trimming tool
Throwing Bat
A kiln or access to one
Glazes used here are:
Amaco Indigo Float and Seaweed

Baked Apple
1 Apple (cored)
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons GF flour or regular flour
1 and 1/2 Teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 Cup melted butter
1/3 Cup chopped walnuts
4 Tablespoons water

Combine sugar, flour & cinnamon, dip apples in melted butter then roll in the sugar mixture. Place in apple baker, top with nuts and add water to the side.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
