Textured Handbuilt Teapot
In this class you will learn how to hand built and glaze a textured teapot with a hollow handle from slabs. Using craft foam templates, we will create all the parts of a teapot then assemble them into a beautiful functional teapot. Downloadable templates will be provided along with detailed instruction on how to glaze and fire your teapot.
Materials:
Clay Slab rolled out to 3/8”, I am using Tuckers Smooth Spep
Rolling Pin and thickness strips or slab roller

Hollow Handle Teapot Template
2”, 3.5”, 5" and 6” circle cookie cutters
2” & 1.5“flower cookie cutters
Needle Tool,
Rim Rounder or Terracotta Pot
Embossed roller, Stamps or texture mats
Pizzelle cone maker (optional)
Ware board
Clay Knife, Dolan 220s or 220c
Flexible ribs, I like the Large Yellow and small red Mud tool
Sponge, bucket of water
Serrated rib
Xiem Medium green sculpting tool or Silicone color/clay shaper
Banding wheel
3/8” or 1/4” Hole Cutter
Glazing
Colors for earth color concentrate or your favorite underglazes
Clear glaze, I am use 2167
Mayco #8 Fan Brush
