Pottery Studio Vlog Episode 10
Christmas in July!
Lots of fun Holiday themed projects going on in the studio this week. You can watch the replay of both the Holiday House Tutorial with special guest Debi from Deladesigngifts.com and my Christmas Tree Dish tutorial from Primetime on ClayShare.com
I finally fired the new L&L Plug-n- Fire cone 10 kiln! You can watch the entire firing in my recent video.
Trip to IKEA! We went to Ikea to check out storage options for the studio. I have a few of their shelving units in my studio and really like them especially for glaze storage and gallery display.
Since we were already so far from home we decided to make a little getaway out of the trip to the Seacoast. We stayed at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, Massachusetts. The Inn was built in 1704 and had so much character. Cohasset is where they films The Witches of Eastwick, which I have not seen but not will have to go watch it! The town has a long history as a seaport and there are many historical building and museums to see.
Well I’d don’t find a bathing suit but I did find a great bakery called French Memories and their Chocolate Croissant was the best one I’ve had outside of France! We tried to go back the next day to get chocolates but they were not open.
Saint Stephen’s Episcopal church is famous for it bells and can be heard though out the town when playing. Here is more about them: https://www.ststephenscohasset.org/The-Carillon
The next morning we drove down the coast to Scituate Lighthouse. https://scituatehistoricalsociety.org/historic_property/scituate-lighthouse/
It was fun to visit the Seashore but too hot to stay for long so we took our time making the 4 hour trip back home.
I got a new film camera! Some of you may know that before I was a potter I was a commercial photographer and even though I no longer make my living in photography I still love it and I guess if I had a hobby it would be photography. This Pentax 17 is a half frame rangefinder camera that takes 35mm film and I’m really excited to get out and take some pictures with it!
Diamond Cote Tools unboxing! August is Diamond Core Tools month here at ClayShare and all month long we will have demos, tutorials, giveaways and promos from us and Diamond Core Tools!
Thank you everyone for joining me in the pottery studio!

Pottery Studio Vlog Episode 9
Welcome to Summer in the studio! I’ve been traveling a lot and it’s been so hot that I have not been able to run kilns or work as much in the studio as usual. Because of this I’ve combined most of July into one vlog episode.
I really need to take better care of my garden but I’ve been so busy(ev... -

3 days in NYC!!
We took the train down from Vermont, barely made it on time but we got there. I love traveling by train and much prefer it over flying or driving.
Our hotel room was not ready so we dropped off our luggage and checked out some street art. I got a Mango slushee and Mozerralla chees... -

It’s a short but sweet Vlog this week.
Starting the week with a test plate of the new Speedball underglazes. I love their choice of colors to add to their line of underglazes. I will be doing a video showing all of the speedball underglazes and comparing the new colors to existing ones in a few...
