Learn how to make a tea infuser/ strainer in this step-by-step hand building class.
This class is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
Materials:
1 lbs of clay, you can use any clay you like, I am using Laguna bmix 5
3/8” slab, you can use a rolling pin with thickness strip, slab roller or any way you like to make slabs
Tea Stainer Templates (Cone and Wing)
1.75” circle cookie cutter
Clay Knife, I am using the Dolan 220s,
Flexible ribs, I am using the #3 yellow and #1 red Sherrill mud tool ribs
Sponge
Bowl or bucket of water
Serrated rib
1/8” Hole Cutter or Clay Drill
Slip or magic water (recipe available on clayshareresources.com)
Color shaper/clay shaper
Pipe cleaners/fuzzy sticks
terracotta pots or rounder, 4”approx in diameter
Ware boards for working on, here I am using ¾” plywood
Something for texture if desired, I am using the Rainbow and Wildflowers rolling pins
Kiln, your own or access to one
Royal Blue Speedball Underglaze
Himalayan Blue Poppy Celadon
Mayco Light Flux or Clayscapes Cream Glaze
