Holiday and Glass in Pottery Baby Kiln Opening!
I love how everything in this kiln turned out. Here are all the details. Kim was fired to cone 5, on medium speed with a 18min hold.
Gingerbread Tray & Tree Dish: Tuckers CCSS clay with Gingerbread Cottage texture and 2 coats of Spectrum Pearl White.
Straight Sided Tree Dish- Made with GR Pottery Froms Straight Wallie Tree Form,Tuckers Smooth Spec Clay, Winterberry textured rolling pin from claysharemarket.com
Amaco Chun Plum and Seaweed on Rim, 2 coats of each.
Christmas Tree ornament- CCSS clay with Gingerbread Cottage texture and White Mayco Stroke and Coat. Second ornament glazes with Himalayan Blue Poppy glaze and glass chips
Trinket dishes with glass. Clay: Laguna Bmix5, Himalayan Blue Poppy and Lily of the Valley celadon with glass chips.
Keep in mind pottery with glass is not food safe. I recommend sealing the glass with an epoxy resin like ArtResin
